Click the panel to start, then click as fast as you can for ten seconds. Around six clicks per second is ordinary; ten and above generally means a specific technique rather than faster fingers.

How to test your click speed

1 Click the panel. The ten-second countdown starts on that first click, which is counted.
2 Keep clicking until time is up.
3 Your best round is kept while the page is open.

Past about seven clicks per second, people are not clicking faster — they are using a different motion. Jitter clicking tenses the forearm so the hand vibrates, and butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. Both push into double figures and both put real strain on the tendons; the repetitive-strain risk is not theoretical, and there is no benefit outside a game that rewards it. It is also worth knowing that some mice double-report at very high rates as their switches wear, which inflates a score without any extra clicking.

Questions

Six or seven per second is a good ordinary result. Ten or more usually means jitter or butterfly clicking rather than plain fast clicking.
