Calendar days calculator

Calendar days count every day, weekends and holidays included. Business days count only weekdays. A contract saying "within 30 days" means calendar days unless it says otherwise — which is why the distinction is worth stating explicitly whenever you write one.

Legal and contractual deadlines default to calendar days in most jurisdictions, and the exceptions are specific: court filing deadlines, statutory notice periods and some payment terms are often defined in working days. Where a document says only "days", calendar days is the safe reading — and where you are drafting one, saying which kind removes an argument that otherwise surfaces at the worst moment.
