How to set the alarm

3 Leave the tab open and the volume up.

Be realistic about what a browser alarm can do, because most pages offering one are not. It depends on this tab staying open and the device staying awake — a closed laptop, a locked phone or a browser that has suspended the tab will not ring, and no web page can override that. For anything you genuinely have to wake up for, use your phone’s alarm, which the operating system will wake the device to deliver. This is useful for what it is: a reminder while you are already sitting at the machine.
