Weekly hours calculator
Add a week of shifts one per line as `09:00-17:00`, subtract the daily break, and see the total split into regular and overtime hours.
How to use the weekly hours calculator
The forty-hour threshold is the US federal rule under the FLSA, where overtime is owed for hours worked beyond forty in a workweek — and it is genuinely a weekly test, not a daily one, so a twelve-hour Tuesday does not create overtime if the week ends under forty. Other jurisdictions differ substantially: several US states add a daily threshold at eight hours, and much of Europe works from a maximum average week rather than an overtime multiplier. The threshold is a field here for that reason. Overnight shifts are handled — a finish time earlier than the start is read as the next day rather than as a negative.
