JPG is the format that nothing refuses. Converting a WebP to JPG is one lossy format re-encoded as another, which costs a little quality but produces a file you can email, print, upload to any form and open in software from 1998.

Two things change in this conversion and it is worth knowing both. Transparency disappears, because JPG has no alpha channel — anything see-through is laid onto a white background rather than turning black, which is what a naive conversion produces. And the image is re-compressed, so you are stacking JPG artefacts on top of the WebP artefacts already there. At quality 90 that is invisible at normal viewing sizes; below about 70 it starts to show in skies and flat colour.
