A 27-inch 16:9 panel measures 59.77 by 33.62 centimetres — 23.5 by 13.2 inches. The bezel adds a centimetre or two on each side, and any stand adds more.

How to get panel dimensions

1 Enter the diagonal and aspect ratio.
2 Read width and height in centimetres.
3 Add bezel from the manufacturer specification if space is tight.
4 Check the stand footprint separately for desk depth.

For a desk setup the height figure usually matters more than the width, because it decides whether the top of the screen sits at or below eye level. The ergonomic guidance is that the top of the display should be at or slightly below eye height, which for most people means a 27-inch monitor needs its stand at close to its lowest setting — and a 32-inch one often cannot get low enough without a monitor arm.
