Pinterest pin size
Taller than 2:3 gets truncated in the feed.

1000 × 1500, a 2:3 vertical. Pinterest explicitly recommends this ratio and truncates pins that are much taller, so the tall infographic style that used to work now gets cut off.
How to use the pinterest pin size
Pinterest is the one platform where vertical is not just preferred but enforced by truncation: go much beyond 2:3 and the feed cuts the bottom off, which usually takes your call to action with it. That is a change from a few years ago when very tall pins were the norm. Two other things separate Pinterest from the rest: pins keep working for months or years rather than hours, so the design effort has a much longer payback, and text overlaid on the image genuinely helps because pins are browsed visually with the title underneath rather than read.
