Social media image resizer
Your images never leave this device
Each platform crops to its own aspect ratio, and if you upload something else it decides for you — usually badly, and usually through the middle of somebody’s face. Resizing to the exact dimensions first means you choose what survives the crop.
How to resize for social media
Fill is almost always the right mode here, because these platforms display a fixed rectangle and will crop anyway — doing it yourself at least puts the crop where you want it. Fit inside is the exception when the whole image genuinely has to be visible, such as a chart or a screenshot, but expect the platform to pad or letterbox the result. One thing worth knowing: these dimensions change every year or two, so check the platform’s own guidance if a layout looks off.
