Mocking text generator

Alternating capitals — the mocking SpongeBob format — is on the case converter, which does it properly. This page adds the Unicode styles that pair with it.

The alternating-caps convention comes from a 2017 SpongeBob meme and carries a specific meaning online: it marks the quoted text as something the writer finds absurd. That specificity is why it does not work as general emphasis — it reads as sarcasm whether or not you meant it. It also has the same accessibility problem as the Unicode styles, for a different reason: a screen reader may pronounce alternating caps as individual letters or as a strangely stressed word, because the capital letters look like an acronym to its heuristics.
