Astrology and numerology are traditions, not sciences. There is no evidence that any of it predicts anything. This calculates what the tradition says, accurately.

The life path number reduces the month, day and year of birth to single digits, adds them, and reduces again. 15 July 1990 gives 7 + 6 + 1 = 14, which reduces to 5. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept.

How to find your life path number

1 Enter your date of birth.
2 Read the life path number.
3 Check whether it came out as a master number.
4 The component rows show where the number came from.

There are two competing methods and they occasionally disagree. Reducing each component first — month, day, year separately — then adding, is the standard approach and the one used here. Adding every digit of the full date at once and reducing gives the same answer most of the time but not always, because master numbers can be created or destroyed depending on when reduction happens. Practitioners argue about it; the component-first method is the more widely taught.
