How to use the image size checker
The reason to use a page rather than the file properties dialog is the comparison: knowing an image is 1440 × 810 is less useful than knowing that is 16:9 and therefore fine for a video thumbnail but wrong for an Instagram post. The checks here run against common targets so the answer is a judgement rather than a number. One thing worth understanding is the difference between pixel dimensions and print size: an image has no physical size until you choose a resolution, so 2480 × 3508 is A4 at 300 dpi and also A3 at 212 dpi and also a very large poster at 72. The DPI stored in a file is a suggestion, not a property of the pixels.
