Gives the hues 30 degrees either side of yours. Analogous schemes are the most reliably harmonious of the classical constructions, because neighbouring hues never fight.
How to use the analogous palette generator
The strength and the weakness are the same thing: analogous colours agree, which makes the palette calm and makes nothing stand out. A pure analogous scheme has no natural accent, so anything that needs attention has to earn it through lightness or size rather than hue. The usual fix is to break the scheme deliberately with one colour from across the wheel. Nature is the standard reference here — a leaf ranges through yellows and greens and reads as one thing, which is exactly the effect an analogous palette produces.
