Brand colour palette generator

Generates a saturated set suitable for a brand palette. The structure that works is one dominant colour, one supporting, one accent and two neutrals.

A brand palette is a different problem from a pretty palette because it has to survive constraints a decorative one does not: it must work at one colour for a stamp or an invoice, it must be distinguishable from your competitors, and it must still be usable in ten years. Two practical tests worth applying to anything a generator gives you. Convert it to greyscale — if the primary and secondary become the same grey, they will be indistinguishable to anyone with a colour vision deficiency and in any monochrome reproduction. And check it against the two or three brands you sit beside in a listing, because a palette that is beautiful and identical to a competitor’s is a liability.
